District Threads Canvas Field Bag

It's a little smaller than I expected it to be, but it is surprisingly roomy. I was able to fit a 1/2 inch binder and a 5-subject notebook. In addition, I tried a 1-inch binder with the 5-subject notebook and it all fit snuggly in this bag.

The color is a little odd, but that's because each bag is unique, due to the dying process. I ordered the charcoal color and the bag itself appears both as charcoal (grey) with a sort of dark (very dark) green hue. It's all dependent on how the light reflects the color of the bag to the eye.

The pockets are also decent. There is a zipper pocket in the back, and there are two velcro pockets. The veolcros were pretty strong and solid (though these could wear out after prolonged function). The cotton strap is also very comfortable.

Overall, I'm satisfied with this Canvas Field Bag, and as soon as I wear this one out, I'm going after another one.

BLACKHAWK Belt Pouch Holster Mini

I have a CCW and usually don't want to holster my weapon around in most places. I live in a warm climate and don't wear jackets or heavy clothing often and don't want the possible attention of exposing or printing with t-shirts and shorts. I've carried an XD9, Glock 23, Ruger LCR and Sig P220 all in this pouch without any issues. Inside there is a Velcro separator which hides your weapon if you're also carrying your wallet, phone and keys in the pouch. Don't get me wrong, this is a bulky item, but if you have it on your belt and you carry everything else you have (along with your weapon) its unbeatable. True, you're not going to win any quick draw contests, but that's really just a change in tactics and for the most part its not any worse than pocket carry. Plus, you can carry in places that are 100% legal, but may frown on CCW (such as a Vegas casino or more importantly leaving a Vegas casino) without any issues at all.

I thought this book to be terrific for the wonderful handbags and smaller change purses in the book. Not only do your get that wonderful vintage feel, but none of the bags have that `homemade' look to them. If you select the correct fabrics, these bags look like they would have come from a stylish boutique shop. All the must know information is at the front of the book so that you get a general grounding in purse making techniques prior to individual purse instructions. The purses themselves are in chapters according to the styles of each decade starting with the 1920's. The purses are shown in full color photographs including usually at least one variation on each of the basic designs. Each purse has been given a name which makes it easy to be sure you are using the proper pattern piece and directions. It will be so nice to refer to your `Clara' bag than that you have to grab your purse. The end of the book includes all the pattern pieces you will need to make the handbags, however you will need to enlarge them 165%.

Other than not having full sized pattern pieces, I didn't notice any negatives in this book. The terrific bags more than make up for the need to size up your pattern pieces. As it is a library book and I don't get to keep it, I will be placing it on my all ready very full wish list.

Making Vintage Bags Original Patterns

I thought this book to be terrific for the wonderful handbags and smaller change purses in the book. Not only do your get that wonderful vintage feel, but none of the bags have that `homemade' look to them. If you select the correct fabrics, these bags look like they would have come from a stylish boutique shop. All the must know information is at the front of the book so that you get a general grounding in purse making techniques prior to individual purse instructions. The purses themselves are in chapters according to the styles of each decade starting with the 1920's. The purses are shown in full color photographs including usually at least one variation on each of the basic designs. Each purse has been given a name which makes it easy to be sure you are using the proper pattern piece and directions. It will be so nice to refer to your `Clara' bag than that you have to grab your purse. The end of the book includes all the pattern pieces you will need to make the handbags, however you will need to enlarge them 165%.

Other than not having full sized pattern pieces, I didn't notice any negatives in this book. The terrific bags more than make up for the need to size up your pattern pieces. As it is a library book and I don't get to keep it, I will be placing it on my all ready very full wish list.

Well maybe not a bird but a very secure, protecting and, comfortable case. I am used to years of a lanyard. This case came with a matching colored one, but for me, a little small. I changed it out for a colorful, four-inch longer lanyard. I use it constantly when I am in public and do not want a "drop" accident. The iPhone 4 fits into the case like a well made glove. I can place the phone in the front section of my purse with the blue lanyard hanging out. This tells me, in a hurry, Yes, I have my phone with me and, if I have to, I can pull the phone out quickly to answer it.

The case texture and extra thickness is really quite nice. A great non-slip feel. The case not only has two card inserts inside, as described, but also this card holder opens sideways to be able to stash more "stuff" behind the other cards. Very handy.

When using the iPhone, it is very easy to hold the case like a small book while using the camera. Also the case cover w/snap folds back behind the body of the phone and gives even more grip power as you are typing.
I am really considering a second one, it is that good.

Yes, it will take a couple of times typing at the left and right sides of the screen, framed in by the case. It can be done and I have adapted nicely, although I am working on limbering up these sides a little.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas 2010. At first glance, he thought it was too small - too "slim" as they say - but as he made the switch from his worn-out, regular-sized wallet, he realized there was so much he could discard or leave at home. Nine months later, the wallet still looks good - no fraying and only an attractive amount of wear on the leather itself - and he still touts the benefits of a wallet that holds the necessities (cash, credit cards, IDs) but not the junk (a Buy 10, Get 1 Free card from 3 years ago and a city you no longer live in, a mini golf score card, the business card of you friend whose contact info is already memorized). And there's no picture holder, which is fine, because (a) they always tear and (b) I'd rather he recall his wife's face from memory than need to check his wallet to remember what she looks like. That's just me, though.

Polaroid CZA 20011B Instant Mobile Printer

I received my Pogo Printer and, with some trepidation (I'm not that techy), tried out the printing via bluetooth from my cell phone. Whoa! Worked first time. Instructions are easy to follow and I even found that my iMac can send files to the little Pogo via bluetooth so now I have two sources from which to send files (photos or art!).

There have been a couple of complaints about the print quality. People! This is a Polaroid product - instant print, not high resolution but I found the quality and the colors to be "spot on". The Pogo is so much fun to use and I am planning to incorporate the prints into my artwork, journals and collages. There are a few Flickr groups related to Pogo prints and I have joined one that swaps prints. Be sure and check those out.

The Zink paper is very affordable so you can keep on using this printer for a long time. My daughter has an iPhone with hipstamatic (holga filter) for her photos so I have sent her one to have fun with.

Definitely a must-have for crafters and artists and, yes, photographers.

I tried a few other racing games before this one. Most of them were pretty bad. Raging Thunder 2 was really good, and I thought it was the ultimate mobile racing game. That was before I played Asphalt 6: Adrenaline!

The controls are easier to handle on Asphalt 6. They're almost identical to Raging Thunder 2, however the steering control is better in Asphalt 6, and you can touch anywhere on the side of the screen to use boost or brakes, whereas you have to touch a small area in RT2. The controls are extremely responsive, and this has to be the smoothest game I've played on the Fire, despite the extremely intense graphics. My framerate was fantastic, and the whole game was so smooth it blew my mind.

Cars are highly customizable in Asphalt 6. You can add nitro and other addons as you make money and advance, and there are tons of different vehicles available to unlock, including motorcycles.

I will warn you that the download is more than 500 megs. Given the very limited amount of disk space on my Kindle Fire, it was painful, to say the least. I find the game worth the space, as well as the time it took to download that much data. But if that's a concern for you, Raging Thunder 2 is a decent substitute. However, if you can handle the download and storage space, I believe Asphalt 6 is far superior.
